I use the https://vger.app/ app / front end on mobile AND desktop and as far as I can tell it tunnels the images through their servers, so this is as minimal as you can get in regards to extra requests.

Any chance you could make the width of the columns resizable to I can make the post column wider? I use it on the desktop and really love it but a wider post list would make it even better.

It’s really sad, I am a VIP user for 10 years now but a 100% price increase is just too much for me. Are there any valid alternatives? The other commercial ones mentioned here cost pretty much the same so that not really and option for me.

Hm, I am not seeing the fix, when I click your last message in my inbox for example it just opens it in the left pane. Also when I then click “View All Comments” they all stay in the left pane. Do you mean it’s internally fixed already but not yet deployed?

I love it, this feature made me use Voyager on the desktop! Just one small nitpick. When you click posts in the inbox (and maybe other places as well) they don’t open in the right pane, they stay in the left.

Unrelated but since I am here already here, it would be great if voyager gets a feature that combines posts with the same links in post list, like some other front ends do. Removes a lot of noise which I really like.

Just to be clear this is a killswitch, that’s what you want right? So that it’s only possible to connect through the VPN (tun0). And if the VPN goes down your internet gets “killed” so you don’t leak your IP.

In that case you want to start ufw when you system starts, so you would need to whitelist your VPN but if your VPN is already connected it should work without whitelisting the IP I guess but never tried it since that’s not recommended.

This is how I do it:

sudo ufw default deny outgoing
sudo ufw default deny incoming
sudo ufw allow out on tun0 from any to any

sudo ufw allow out to VPN_IP_ADDRESS proto udp

You have to do the last line for all your VPN server ips or the initial DNS request will not go through. If you connect through udp.

That’s interesting, I live in the android world for a pretty long time now and am interested in tech in general but never heard of SHIFTphones before which is especially surprising since they seem to tick all my boxes.

Do you have experience with them? They seem to have an active developer and custom rom community. How long is the official update support for their devices? This is the most important criteria for me these days. I am still running a pixel 4a in perfect condition which sadly does not get any updates anymore. I don’t want this to happen again in the future if I can avoid it.

Also, any idea how there can be custom roms for the SHIFT phone 8 even tho it’s not even release yet?

I just realized this is not the exact setup I use. I use Radicale on the desktop but additionally Decsync. So I don’t need Radicale on my other devices, just a Decsync client.

With “mostly” in my case I was referring to the Radicale-Decsync plugin which works great but doesn’t seem to be actively maintained anymore. So there was an instance where Radicale changed something and the Decsync plugin didn’t work anymore. Was an easy fix but sadly that fix is still not available in the “official” Radicale-Decsync plugin which makes it hard for non technical users to use it, currently.

I am using this setup for years by now. Works great mostly.
